Major updates in the works
Making games is hard, especially when you're going at it solo and part-time. Sometimes, when the going gets tough, you lose motivation. More often than not, everyday life gets in the way.
Has it been 5 years since my last update? To regain some perspective, many released games take very large teams more than this amount of time to build. No, I haven't given up trying to achieve my dreams. But reality has sunk in that the endeavor is much more daunting that I originally imagined. I've learnt a lot and created a lot, but somehow is still lacking and unable to put all the right pieces together in a timely manner.
CyberHeist v0.9 is 5 year old code, and I've never gotten round to truly implementing all the ideas I had back then. Today, I've already been coding new stuff that is several generations ahead, but much further from completion. In any case, as self-therapy for burnout, I'm re-opening this old game and giving it a gentle push towards the potential it never realized.
Here's looking forward to a new CyberHeist, being remixed, remastered, and, in some aspects, remade.
Stay tuned!
